Mehrzad Hakimi, DDS
Mehrzad Hakimi, DDS joined 5 Corner Dental as the primary dentist in December 2013. Dr. Hakimi brings a comprehensive list of experience to the practice in order to help patients in the community to achieve their best oral health. Dr. Hakimi offers extensive services including new orthodontic treatments with traditional braces and Invisalign® therapy. He has been practicing dentistry for the past 16 years and is eager to work with new and existing patients at 5 Corner Dental’s established dental office.
Dr. Hakimi explains, “I have an eye for detail that helps me provide patients with the care they need. My goal is to provide my patients with their ideal smile and to improve their overall long term oral health.” All existing and new patients to the practice will be treated with the same level of friendly, patient-focused care that 5 Corner Dental is known for providing. Dr. Hakimi is involved in patient care as well as community efforts. He is the principle instructor at the VanDent Training Centre, which provides training for international dentists in Western Canada. Through his instructional efforts, Dr. Hakimi is teaching his fellow dental professionals the new methods and correct techniques to achieve high quality dental treatments.
Dr. Hakimi has been a faculty member of UBC Dentistry since 2012. “As a dentist, I am extremely excited to help patients achieve their dream smiles and oral health goals. I look forward to meeting and treating the Cloverdale community at 5 Corner Dental,” Dr. Hakimi adds.
Dr. Hakimi has a wife and a teenage son. His family enjoys outside activities such as: camping, boating and traveling. Tennis is his favourite sport and he also enjoys skiing with his son in winter.
Dr. Ziba Mashayekhi (DDS)
Dr. Mashayekhi received her Doctor of Dental Surgeon Degree (DDS) from Shahid Beheshti University in 2002, and has over 14 years of dental practice experience; she is known for her genuine care and gentle manner with her patients.
After starting dentistry she showed a continued interest in orthodontics and she had the desire to provide high quality dental care to her patients. She completed her specialty degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in Azad University in 2012. Her experience in preventive and restorative dentistry built a strong background to offer a balanced and aesthetic smile for her patients. She has high enthusiasm for her chosen career.
Here in beautiful Vancouver she works as a general dentist with special interest in orthodontics. She is fluent in English, Farsi and Turkish.
In spare time Dr. Mashayekhi enjoys spending time with her husband and two little ones. She likes outdoor activities, gardening, camping and photography.
