To Our Dear Valued Patients,

During these challenging times, we want you to know that 5 Corner Dental is committed to the health and safety of our patients and dental staff. Please read the following carefully to see what we are doing to protect you and to keep our atmosphere safe during COVID-19.

Appointment Procedures and Screening:

We screen all patients and visitors for COVID-19 symptoms. You will be contacted by our clinic prior to an appointment to ask whether you are experiencing any symptoms. In addition, when you arrive for your appointment, you and anyone with you will also be asked about any cough, fever, and other symptoms of respiratory virus infection that you or others in your household may be experiencing. Staff is also screened for COVID-19 symptoms each day.

If you are feeling sick and have symptoms of the flu, please cancel your appointment. The receptionist will be sending a COVID-19 Pandemic Emergency Dental Treatment Consent Form to be signed by the patient or parent/guardian if the patient is below 18 years old by e-mail, you can send it back by e-mail or bring it with you on the day of your appointment. Upon arrival in the clinic, patients will have their temperature taken.

Restricting visitors:

We are temporarily restricting visitors to reduce the number of people in our clinic and, therefore, the risk of exposure between patients, visitors, and staff. We understand this can be difficult and appreciate your understanding.

Masks and Hand Sanitizer:

All staff will wear masks. The type of mask staff members wear is determined by the type of care they provide, to best ensure their safety and the safety of our patients. Patients may choose to wear a mask into the office as well, but it is not required due to the need to remove it for the appointment. When you first enter the office, there is a touchless hand sanitizer dispenser that you are required to use upon entry to the reception area and after your appointment.

Cleaning, Reorganization and Check-In Options:

We have rearranged furniture in the waiting area to facilitate physical distancing, and are scheduling appointments strategically to ensure that fewer people are in our clinic at any given time. Please call the office upon your arrival in the parking lot and we will let you know when to enter the office. We are not going to offer coffee, tea, and water. Magazines and toys were removed. Areas such as waiting room and restroom are cleaned often with special attention to frequently touched surfaces including doorknobs, armrests, and handrails. We ask all our patients to rinse their mouth with hydrogen peroxide (an antiviral agent) before starting any treatment. The operatories will be fully cleaned and disinfected between each patient.

Check-out or Payment Options:

A plexiglass shield is already installed at the front desk. Please make sure to stand behind it while in the reception area. We will be sanitizing the debit/credit card machine, pens, and reception area after each patient.
